Who We Are

The Milwaukee First Ward is a local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together we strive to follow Jesus Christ, study His teachings, and lift one another in love and service.

What We Believe

We believe in God the Eternal Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. We believe that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ all may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel.

What to Expect on Sunday

Our meetings are open to anyone. Dress is typically Sunday best, but please come as you are — what matters is that you came. Here is a quick overview of a typical Sunday:

• Sacrament Meeting (9:00 AM) — A worship service with hymns, prayer, the sacrament (bread and water in remembrance of Christ), and short messages from members.
• Classes (10:10 AM & 11:00 AM) — Sunday School and quorum/auxiliary classes alternate weeks. Children attend Primary; youth attend their classes.

If it's your first time, please introduce yourself to the bishop or anyone at the door — we'd love to meet you.
